Not one or two but SEVEN War Patrols on a Submarine into Japanese home waters. This with torpedos that were barely operational much of the time and sometimes just as likely to turn and sink your own ship. Yes, a Ceremony at Sub Base, New London is well overdue for this Naval Officer.
