I love the way propagandists conflate labels and people to tar political opponents. This was a crime. The criminal was apprehended, tried, and convicted. What does the color of his skin or his association with idiots have to do with anything.

Because it was his participation in a white nationalist group activity that brought him to Charlottesville and it was the political identity of the group he drove into, and his political views of that group, that motivated him to commit that crime.
