Thanks for honoring Charlton Heston PO2 Mark Saffell. He was a great actor, a principled man and a strong advocate for Constitutionally protected rights including 2nd amendment rights.

As a young man, I heard his "Cold Dead Hands" speech in front of the NRA convention. I still get goose bumps remembering that speech. I also realize what a forward thinker he was given how we are still fighting hard for our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. Both he and Ron Reagan were friends and peers in another turbulent time in our history. Both had strong moral and political compasses with which they helped steer social/political movements. Their vision was true and sadly they have not be replicated in Hollywood ever since their passing.
