I think that I’m going to see if there are any exclusions in my USAA policy, even though I own the home.

Good Read, the changes in insurance came after my time in was over so yeah it sucks for military personnel and civilians...now they really have to make sure when they get any kind of insurance it covers as much as possible.

A long time ago, back in the 80s, when we left the base housing and purchased our own home our obligation to the base was to make sure the house was clean. We had military people that hired out specifically to come in and clean the house for inspection. You could get a list of people to clean from the base housing. Back then it was like $80.
