They will elect another Democrat and hope that things will get better, be disappointed that things aren't, an d the cycle will repeat ad nauseum... The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.

Love hearing what the Chicago Residents had to say about the community conditions and hope they stay diligent in their request in eliminating the violence.

Illinois residents still don’t even know all the really scary things Blagojevich signed into Illinois law.

Get rid of these politicians & political groups that encourage the destruction, violence and impoverishment upon their communities across the country.

For this day and age, there is no reason in our country to have any of this and was proven with greats such as Giuliani cleaning up New York only to have de Blasio bring it down to its insolvency.

...and this is being proven on a national scale by our President Donald J. Trump.

Even if they manage to push Rahm out, the machine will merely place another ineffectual Democrat in the office of Mayor. And, as the song says, “And the beat goes on.”

I can't imagine any rational conservative wanting the job. As is the case with California, Chicago has been dug so far into a hole by its liberal leadership that it would damn near take an act of God to (a) stop the digging and (b) actually fill in the hole.

LTC (Join to see) Having lived in the Chicago suburbs and driving into the city, the majority of the city is quite safe. There are two areas that are crime ridden and are the fiefdom of powerful Alderman that are satisfied with the status quo. The city and its combat zones could be resolved, but it would be using near wartime tactics, unlikely. That being said, your first sentence is operative.

MCPO Roger Collins - Fair enough observation and I don't disagree with your comment … but my comment goes beyond the city's problem with crime, particularly South Side but also West Side. As with California with which I drew a loose analogy, Chicago has financial and education issues that are arguably more difficult to resolve than are its (as you noted) localized crime challenges.

As an aside, I found some of the comments from protestors encouraging. It seems that some in the black communities are starting to realize that the Democrats' position on illegal aliens is contrary to the best interests of the DNC's black constituency.

LTC (Join to see) We will see, the last competent honest Governor was Jim Edgar 2001-2009.
