too much of this... I blame the current administration, at least partly, the police should never seen as the bad guys.

What's happened is that we have video cameras everywhere, a means of instant communication and a 24 hour news cycle.

The prevalence of video capture definitely puts more in the view of the regular person, but I'm still concerned at the attitude of kill the cops.

LTC (Join to see) - I think the prevalence of video is what stokes the attitude (While also making that attitude seem far more widespread than it is). We're in that weird place where technology has given us access to information and it's just making everyone angry by feeding into our inability to keep things in perspective.

Most Police Officers are decent people who risk their own safety for ours every single day for which three quarters of people approve of the job being done by their local police. What's happened to our society is one part hypersensitivity created in the media by casting a racist or criminal image on the gaggle and not the goose; and one part lack of conscience, consequence, and respect of authority from the general public. Opinions are quick to change when its the naysayer that calls police to protect them or their property. I might ask the question: "Do you want their job? Are you ready and willing to continuously show up for work not knowing if you will go home to your family at the end of the shift?" And, oh by the way, don't expect to be paid handsomely for your service.
