I have read elsewhere that the problem with their Naval Aviation assets still remains the inadequacies of their aircraft.
It does no good to have a modern launch platform if the aircraft you launch can’t carry enough fuel or weapons load to perform offensive/defensive operations.
If i’m incorrect please correct me.

I have heard that as well. I think they are putting the cart before the horse, but at some point the horse will catch up. What does this mean for future planning? Are we in a naval arms race with China?
