I found this video as I was perusing some technology information... This is a short video, but is indicative of what China has accomplished using the technology that has been provided to them by the United States and others over the last 20 or more years... They now build most of our computer boards and other elements and have taken our software and modified it to suit their needs... Do you think we should continue giving them our technology, which they are using to build ships aircraft, missiles and more? Personally, I think not, but I feel they will or have befriended our new administration and will take full advantage of it!

I think We should be very warry of Communist China's Leadership and what they do and they seems to be very self serving and their own citizens don't count so why would We expect the rest of us do ? They are certainly nor without a plan and its about control on a massive level which in steps continues to build and increase. Technology and finance controls and increased Military basing, equipment to begin and then move on to enforce their control. They are taking it step by step and not rushing but building a strong base for that control which will not decrease if no counter measures at all are used. They have no problem taking what they need as long as no one else stands up to them in any form and allows each step to proceed. Do not underestimate what their plans are and how China intends to use that power as it grows.

China has always thought in the terms of centuries while we in the west think in terms of a decade at best. The saving grace that I see is that the China of today really isn't big on innovation, but rather copying everytning of the west. Even their financial plan is based on the colonialism of the past.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - That is true about China always planning well ahead and Yes they have borrowed and learned from the West. Even establishing forward island Military bases they have learned from as an example both the British and the Americans' using that to their advantage as a way to extend their reach. They observed and saw it worked and are moving forward with that concept with an eye on possible future use.

CWO3 Dennis M. - That is my fear and I believe it is much closer than anyone wants to admit... All one has to do is look what is happening in the South China Sea... and all the island nations in that huge area... Taiwan will be swallowed up and I do not think that this new administration will blink an eye, but I hope I am wrong... China has created a new Island specifically as a military base and even though we have added forces, including ships and aircraft, at some point our adversary could set off WWIII IMHO...

Sgt (Join to see) But that is nothing new in the history of China. They created the most massive military Junks imaginable, but went nowhere with them. A classic case of a country that thinks big, but in reality can't carry out their inspirations.
