I smell cordite (that's gun-powder to you non-military types!) too... just look at how the Chinese yuan trades at over 6.82 yuan per dollar (they keep it artificially low- to keep their exports cheaper).

That's called manipulation; since China is supposedly the world's second largest economy by GDP & we have such a trade imbalance with them? A properly priced yuan, would be closer to 2 to 3 yuan per dollar IMO, but China doesn't want that as that would price them out of many export markets (because they still have to pay for shipments from China to the US- increasing their goods' cost).
