To my way of thinking, they're just not gonna stop now...they're big enough at this point, and, culturally, still remember what having been colonialized for decades, and vivisected by Japan was like, that, given the sheer military-industrial hardware they have now, they just simply don't need to. Unfortunately, ww2 was over 70 yrs ago now, and that alliance was with the segment left on Taiwan, those on the mainland just don't care, don't want to remember the alliance, and, I think, harbor long standing historical, cultural, and societal resentments, that are now only fueling the whole thing about the artificial islands, and the whole South China Sea thing going on...this is just simply another example...it's gonna go on for decades, in my view, it's only gonna get much worse, and the whole thing just isn't gonna let up, not at least anytime soon, in expect I hope this was of interest, I'd be most eager for many thoughts, many thanks.

Sigh...sadly, I expect you're right, if you've never read it look at The Stages of Economic Growth, by Walter w rostow of the JFK cabinet, and the concept of the drive to maturity stage, I've mentioned it on here before, the capitalist veneer there created by Deng xiao Peng is only serving to prolong communism there, which is why, in my estimation, he was far, far more dangerous than Mao and Chou en lai ever were, or could have been, certainly, many thanks.

Also, I realized a long time ago that societal evolution occurs at different rates in different countries, which is what has given rise to so much mil historical misery throughout human history, as I perceive the problem.

They are building a huge trap, and building cover while adding sea and air space. Like a boa constrictor.
