Thanks LTC Ivan Raiklin, Esq. for sharing the news about the Malabar naval drills which are scheduled for next week in the Bay of Bengal which will include submarine familiarization; air-defense and surface-warfare exercises; visit, board, search and seizure drills; and anti-submarine warfare.
I am glad that the USA, Japan and India are participating in this naval drill.
China may be wary of this Bay of Bengal exercise.
Hopefully over the next year Vietnam will be able to participate and the drill could be conducted in the South China Sea which would make the communist People's Republic of China (PRC) much more wary.

We must train as we fight with our allies. This training will have a great force multiplier effect in case of any actual combat for an allied force untrained together will have many unnecessary casualties due to the barriers of language and ways of running daily activities.

That is the purpose for such drills, it counters China's own saber rattling. Plus India is the only nation that can match China man for man in numbers if it ever came to a ground war.
