I was shocked to hear of Ron's passing. he was a good guy and an outstanding O brancher. He always carried his own weight on watch, plus a little more. The position that he worked required him to work fast, but did not allow for any errors what so ever. Ron made it look easy, but those of us that worked that position knew it was the toughest job on the watch. I remember El Dorado Canyon like it was yesterday. I also remember being on watch on North Audley Street when over a thousand protesters surrounded the building that we worked in. Now we can look back and tell a few sea stories about it all.

Ron was a real good guy who had a "dry" sense of humor. As I was told, he died at Bethesda Naval Hospital not long after leaving London.
