As leaders, if a member of your team was acting like this how would you respond? Would you respond like HoltonWise and terminate the employee or do you consider it none of your concern what an employee does on his own time? In the Army, we were expected to follow rules of conduct 24 x 7, is there an expectation that our employees follow rules of conduct even outside working hours? Where do we draw the line, what's excessive requiring action and what is passed over?
