Someone actually spent time and money analyzing trends in naming babies during the last election? Why?

I follow, of course, I'd missed that one, please believe me, my interest was relating to quantitative aspects of studying military, economic, or sociologic history, of course, for issues of serious consequence. Certainly, I realize your point, of course, it was just that some of the other topics covered did see! To fit what I'd been seeking. Also, I was rather struck by the name, which I'd never heard of before, quite honestly. However, that being said, I of course realize your point, though, I'd merely wish to relate a story, if I could, for whatever it might be worth: A very long time ago, I'd had occasion to go over to the office of a friend, whose supervisor was, I'd thought, engaged in a topic I hadn't understood the very real seriousness of, at that time. Later on, I'd realized the level of it, and its import, feeling totally self-humiliated by what turned out to be, on my part, a very childish and provincial view on my part at that moment. I learned then, rather the hard way, I'm afraid, that sometimes, serious science isn't always what it seems to be insofar as its immediately apparent surface veneer. Also, that good science is, quite frequently, where one finds it, often in the seemingly least likely of places. Some time ago, on here, I'd mentioned some aspects of video games, and, once again, found myself in rather a similar boat, as I was them virtually deluged by very serious researxh efforts and/or papers using videogame technology, of which I'd been similarly unaware. Please, for that reason, believe me when I say that I do of course understand your immediate reaction, and, if I get a chance, I'll of course try to look at the material involved, as my curiosity is certainly piqued to look at it further. I only wanted to relate those stories first, because they were in fact true. And, second, while I don't know, of course, if the paper you'd seen was of the caliber of what I'd been chided about in previous instances, I'd obviously be most interested in finding out, certainly. I appreciate your mentioning that topic to me, truly; I will do my nest to try to look at it and give you my thoughts, if I have a free moment, of course, many thanks.
