My 2 cents... all media outlets are in competition for the same advertising dollars. The one that gets the most page views, audience, whatever you want to call it, is the one that gets the advertising money. It doesn't matter if the story is true, slightly true, or downright false, as long as they can say look 1 Million people clicked on our stories today. The downside is that many outlets have gone full on crazy stupid in their reporting. They see themselves as Woodward and Bernstein, when in reality they are more like the Keystone Cops... Hope I didn't violate your points issue Greg, as I wrote the first response, but I thought I had something to add! Just kidding buddy, hope you have a great weekend!

CNN has really gone downhill from it's heady days of journalism during the coverage of the first Gulf War. Probably one of the worst news outlets of today.

It's all about ratings and that's the problem. The only thing that matters is ratings and ratings equals advertising revenues. Despite it's "best" efforts, CNN ranks among the lowest.

I can't listen to Ray Acosta ask a single question in the White House without snickering to myself. That guy is NOT an objective newsreporter and despite CNN's recent attempts to become the Playboy Channel........seriously, even Playboy had better journalists than CNN does today. I can't even watch Don Lemmon for more than 20 minutes without feeling the need that I had enough BS for the day and need to turn channels. Little to no critical thinking on CNN all emotion and personal opinion. They could cut personell costs substatially by hiring some trained parrots.
