No, if you want to murder "on a scale rarely seen in this country" you need ram an airliner into a skyscraper or park a massive bomb outside a federal office building where men, women, and children are working and playing. Never mind context, facts, or journalistic ethics when you have propaganda to deploy

If you read the article, his threats had nothing to do with his guns. He was threatening biological warfare and killing as many people as humanly possible. Whether he had the capacity or not is another story .... also he was arrested and indicted by the coast guard investigative services in conjunction with DOJ.
