Coast Guard panel to probe Gulf of Alaska sinking

Nasty stuff up there. I have heard Coaties talking about the Gulf of Alaska as well as the Bering Straits and the storms. I was an East Coast Coastie, but we had our 1 area that was bad. Ocean Station Bravo which was between Greenland and Labrador. I made two or three od those things and NEVER saw falt water. Like a 30 - 35 day rollercoaster ride and you were usually wearing at least some bruises when you got home. Most of the time seas were 25' to 35' and sometimes more. Those fishing boat crews make some big bucks doing that, but very damgerous. I think in some cases, they push things a bit too far for those bucks.
