Wording does matter, since words have power. Years ago I received a call from a Tricare nurse. She asked me if I wanted to enroll in their "Something Disease/Sickness/Disorder sounding" Management" Program for certain patients. She explained services that would actually be helpful for me. I declined and told here none of those services will make me better through your program. Since that program would already label me as "not well" that is what my mind would believe. My reason I gave was clear - "the name of your Program is why I will not enroll." Instead I created my own "Wellness" Management Program for myself. It offered me hope instead of just surviving and trying not to drown in the maelstrom, I was able to swim away to the shore and rest on the beach and live in the beauty of what I felt and could see. Then I put on my rescue tube and went back to get other people out that were just circling and trying not to drown in that "Disorder/Disease' Maelstrom.

CSM (Join to see), that sounds to me very much like Col. Billings' recommendations.

Labeling is not a good idea. Test the person first before coming to a conclusion of what they have.

COL Billings is seeing the whole picture from the Birds eye view. An integrated program that focuses on healing and wellness adds Value and is productive to thriving and not just trying to live daily with a delicate balance of trying to survive.
