Columbus military musician saw official end of WWII

Columbus-area WWII veteran Robert Burns Wheeler Jr., who turned 100 this past July, played his clarinet with a small military band on the USS Missouri as the Japanese signed the Instrument of Surrender in 1945.

SPC Nancy Greene Not Sure but Musician on a Navy Ship. My Guess is He's a Sailor with the Navy Rate of MU.
