This is really an awesome story. It reminds me of TET, 1966, in Vietnam. We were in the field, staying near where some NVA were. When we flew in, I saw all of those enemy and thought, what the hell. I had my gun raised, and the pilots told me to put it down. They told us this was their year of TET, and it was like a holiday for the Vietnamese, celebrating their New Year. TET means "Feast of the First Morning of the First Day". Anyway, the NVA were aging at us, acting like they wete shooting a machine gun at us, and flipping us off. We weren't allowed to do anything. The only thing w could do was watch them and if we received gunfire from them, there were gun ships waiting to celebrate TET with them with a lot of fireworks. That didn't happen. The next day, the war was back on, and the NVA had moved out during the night. Enjoy this story. It's better than mine.
