Feel greasier this year than in the past. Believe we witnessed the death of reporting. It has been deteriorating for years, but does no one care about the truth anymore?

"Reporting" is no longer the exclusive purview of the Fourth Estate. The Internet now provides a medium available to the rest of us to distribute our videos and opinions. Indeed, the speed with which we can disseminate our POV often allows us to "scoop" the traditional media.

The press has invited themselves to the party, the political party of the Progressive Movement. They consider themselves the intellectual equals of the intelligentsia who feel destined to rule over the great mass of rubes known as We the People. By congregating with celebrities, they make celebrities of themselves and feel entitled to make news rather than just reporting it. After all, they were educated by the same progressive professors that educated the celebrities (well, at least those few celebrities who were "educated")
