Well, the USA has Malibu, but it also has the Ohio River. Everyplace has good and bad. The Red Giant is simply showing that Haiti is not 100% shithole. But, you knew that... just wanted an opportunity to be curmudgeonly. Well, curmudgeon away!

You impress me. Seriously, you do. There's something almost heroic in the way you shill for the criminals and Leftists who help create shitholes in paradise. No matter how far you have to reach, you make it. How many rich Haitians do you suppose have immigrated to America, legally or illegally? How many rich Haitians do you suppose are sharing that beach with Conan? You should talk to my physician. He volunteers with Doctors Without Borders and set up a clinic under a tree in Haiti. There simply weren't any suitable facilities. Why not? Well, Hillary and Family absconding with funds meant to help clean up the place are certainly part of the reason. But, what the hell, Hillary deserved it, right?

So Conan's approach is to go to a resort designed to cater to rich visitors. He doesn't go to a poor barrio and see how actual citizens of Haiti live. Most don't make in a about 3 months what he spent in a night actually making Trumps point perfectly and being to stupid to know it. 80Z% of Haitians live below the poverty line.
I went to Vieques PR a number of years ago and stayed at a Marriot property on the Island. It was a company trip, not a place I had determined to go. When you left the Marriot compound it got very poor, very quickly. I felt for the folks living there and realized how ugly we must look staying at the resort and then venturing out into the local populace which we were warned was a crime plagued area. I remember one of the beaches feature was that items would wash up on the beach from a landfill nearby and you could find these things on the beach. Not sure if that is still a thing these days.
