SPC(P) Jay Heenan Yes it will, I know the VA is starting to merge records with the DOD agencies. I hope it works for the sake of the VET!

That use of fix reminds me of the phrase "I'm fixin to hurt you" SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Lumping VA medical facilities into the same budget category as Military Medical facilities makes it much easier to cut the budget and have active military competing with veterans for medical services which would be a travesty.
There are many good reasons that the VA is separate from DoD and not part of HHS either. One of the primary reasons is the way the budget for federal agencies are rolled up. Keeping the military medical facilities separate from VA medical facilities and separate from Indian Health facilities is best to keep each system viable,
