I read that earlier today that President-elect Donald Trump does not want to inflict additional harm to the Clintons SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. That is gracious of him as far as I am concerned.
After he has assumed the Presidency of the USA, if Congress decides to investigate the events around Benghazi, the private email servers, etc. that is their purview. If that occurs, hopefully the new DoJ will not have any ties to the Obamas or Clintons and would be able to conduct a fair and impartial review.

Part of his "unification of the country" process, LTC Stephen F.. I understand and appreciate the sentiment, although I disagree with letting the Clintons continue to march unchecked.

There are on going investigations (FBI and Congressional) into the Clinton Foundation and those will continue with a less biased DOJ in January. While he does not wish to hurt them, they have likely hurt themselves. He will let the wheels of justice move forward. Remember, it is not the purview of the president to pursue this legally.

He needs to keep an "arms length" to the official investigation and anyone that knows anything knows that is exactly what he is doing. His hand on the scale could be used later by the Clinton's to say the Executive Branch went after them and tipped the scale against them. He is being smart in his language around this. He doesn't need to do a thing and as President he should not. The DOJ and the FBI are different matters though.

Cpl Jeff, You certainly make some very valid points, the Clinton's can certainly still be pursued for their alleged crimes and should be but it isn't the function of the Executive Branch to do so. For the many felony class crimes its plain disgusting that those crooks aren't already in jail or at least already charged and held for trial. Corruption in Washington isn't anything new but they have taken it to whole new levels.
