Training Expectations:
CAM
Training would be 1 to 2 weeks and paid time allotted. No cold water dunks in unfamiliar software here.
CAD
We have training videos that will be a great start, this is a really user intuitive program.
Touch Probe
Utilizing the Probe of which we have training videos, and we can put you in touch with their support staff for training or in worst case scenario, link you up with the training engineer that trained our crew. This is a fairly easy system to learn and it comes with some advanced features in the software. As in this probe can measure depth, curves, holes, slopes, and angles. Then output them for analysis. Not your average probe.
Mill/Turn
Proper documentation is perceived as a strong force multiplier here at CMS. Many things that are learned with the Mill/Turn or the software are recorded as to shorten the learning curve and repeatability.
Reverse Engineering Equipment & Software
Participate in a training event learning how to calibrate and use the equipment, software and how to migrate it to CAD.

One thing that we all have in common is that we all entered the military with a limited skill set. But we exited with a much broader skill set. Through introduction and training we learned many great skills and developed them in training and operations.
As you stated (and drive) I think that is what pushed all of us to preform in our fields.

This looks really daunting, but as a partner I believe that knowing the equipment and systems that run it are a must. This makes for much more logical conversations.
Some people are really software minded even if they never took a programing class, others are more mechanical minded.
The goal is to grow to 5 people per shift and there are two projects that we are developing for clients that will take us there.
