IF he only served in Vietnam, the Fleet Marine badge wasn't in existence. It was only a ribbon then.

It's similar to phonies wearing the Army Air Assault Badge which were not in existence in Vietnam. But, you see a lot of them on fake Vietnam Veterans, who don't know the difference, because their stupid and too ignorant to think about looking up the date that the pins and medals were in use.
