SSG Derek Scheller and PO3 Jacob Jenkins I thought of the work you guys are doing when I read this. It is an interesting that something that is going to grow in importance is going to have such a huge shortfall.

I don’t understand how there will be a shortage. Right now the demand is high but companies aren’t willing to pay for the services the workers can offer.

SSG Derek Scheller I find it hard to believe that remediation is cheaper than prevention. When a company has a breach that exposes customers to possible identity theft, the company is on the hook for ID monitoring for all of those customers. Not to mention the damage to a company's reputation. I would think it would be more cost effective both monetarily and in a customer relations stand to simply pay security specialists to prevent mitigate the risk of a breach.
