Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that November 19 is the anniversary of the birth of American actor, best known for playing the title role in The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams Daniel Francis "Dan" Haggerty who passed away last year.

It is interesting to know that Grizzy Adams was first from Holliston, Massachusetts and lived on Adams Street before He left everything there and moved to the Wilderness. His former house on Adams Street in Holliston, MA still stands. In reality He had run out on His family and His obligations at home to hide in the Wilderness where the legend grew.
I certainly remember the TV series Grizzy Adams and Dan Haggerty did a great job with the portrayal along with the bear as I seem to recall was named Ben. That was one of the TV series I watched on a regular basis. I'm sorry to hear though that Dan Haggerty had passed on.
