The wording is well thought out and intentional. A gun, knife, bat, rock, what have you, is the tool used to exact violence. When you read the headlines "30 killed by guns in Chicago" or "Guns killed 4 in Texas" it's intended to incite an emotional response and it works. It's no different than "assault rifle" or "high capacity magazine". The grabbers and the Fudds know these are all lies but they also know people are gullible and stupid and will believe anything they read or hear.

He is correct. Considering my collection, if guns were violent my son, my neighbors and I would already be dead. Firearms can't do anything without a human to operate their action. Unless you are building an autonomous robot, but then it would be an AI created by a human pulling the trigger.
