While the exact verbiage of 1stSgt Daly's cry at Belleau Wood is debatable (I'll take his word for what he actually said instead of a newspaper reporter's word), it has become legendary in the Marine Corps. However, one thing he did say governed me during my career. During WWI, Daly was offered a commission and he turned it down. When asked why by his superiors he said something along these lines: "Any officer can get by on his sergeants, but in order to be a sergeant you have to know your stuff. I'd rather be an outstanding sergeant than just another officer."

I'm terrible with my ipad (small buttons), but better with the computer keypad. Smartphone? Forget it! One thing I've noticed is the little "edit" button. Works well, but it requires a lot of re-checks.
