Great article! Salaries and employment opportunities are something many don't think about when selecting a degree. I think people are finally getting away from the mentality of "just go to college and get any degree". That worked for my parents, but this generation of students has to be much wiser and more frugal when selecting a degree. I, personally, want to see more skilled labor education for vets. I think that is where the work and money is currently.

Some of the degrees are not matched to a future. I am amazed at some of the liberal arts degrees and wonder what people think they will do after 4 years of school work? Getting a degree that matches your future is gold.

Im all for liberal arts - as second major or a minor. We still need these majors but just not near as many as we have.

I never realized when I was a young infantry Marine on ship, that when I got liberty, I was conducting Women Studies. (19 years old.) I could have got college credit for that...but they did not have that in 1977.
