What is important is are the leaked documents accurate and do they tell us a story of a government run amuck. The source for the leaks is always hard to know for sure and candidly is less important to me that what the documents tell me about 1. What our government is up to and 2. How we are unable to secure our systems to hacking and how that might need to change how we communicate/store information etc.
It could be the Russians, it could be other private hacker groups. It could be internal leakers inside the government etc. What we are getting is insight into how events and the system is being manipulated.

More than likely it is the Russians; they have the capability, motivation and their fingerprints seem to be all over it. Having said that you are correct this exposes how weak many of our systems are primarily in the private sector where all these political party information systems live.
For young people looking to get into technology I predict a bright future in cyber security. We need to get serious about this.

Rather humorous the Russians got caught pulling something way out of context and misrepresent it. It won't matter to many of those what already believe their was something bad with Hillary and Benghazi though. They are already believing something without good evidence and probably won't be too discerning here either because it supports what they already want to believe.
