This was a weird time and the wrong President to handle the situation. You can't always try to find the best things about people when their ideology is not your own. One of my friends in junior high was from Iran and his father was an aide for the Shah. He ended up here because their lives were in danger and relatives were already established here. He always said this would not end well and we did not understand.

I agree on the wrong President Sir. And no, we did not and still don't understand. Well at least some of us get it now. But we live or lived it through the war.

Well, what doesn't help is when the President has no support and gets false information and suffers from collusion. Huh? You do realize a certain George H. W. Bush is in Tehran at the moment, right? Gee...wonder why?

Carter is a submariner. So he approached things intelligently. In a way that people didn't want. What was the one thing Carter was killing? The military complex. So every single company hammered their shareholder senators and shareholder generals to do everything in their power to kill Jimmy The Peanut. Carter also wants to start pumping American gas which - drum roll - the Walker (Bush) family doesn't want.

Carter also is not a JFK democrat. He's an FDR democrat ("I'll put a chicken in your pot, but you're going to work for it"), so like Trump and Hilary today, he did not have 100% of his party's love.
