A few minutes ago DoD released the name of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Two sailor who was killed in Northern Syria on Thanksgiving day.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
Senior Chief Petty Officer Scott C. Dayton, 42, of Woodbridge, Virginia, died Nov. 24 in northern Syria, of wounds sustained in an improvised explosive device blast.
He was assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Two, which is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia."

I heard about this, this morning but I didn't know the details. We lost a son at Thanksgiving in 1994. I'll pray for the family and friends. Losing a loved one, especially a son or daughter is tough enough, but on Thanksgiving is another story. Every year at Thanksgiving, it won't be the same from now on. Keith, I totally empathize since my sister committed suicide on the 4th of July up 2015. It's really heartbreaking when you lose a son or your case my sister on an important holiday. I'm really sorry. But it's been troubling hearing how many chief petty officers Master Sergeant warrant officer or officers and of course Junior enlisted in some cases have been losing their lives lately. My heart goes to those special operations uniformed Personnel who lost their lives in the last month.
