Department of the Army announces 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division deployment

WASHINGTON -- The Department of the Army announced today the deployment of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with approximately 1,700 soldiers to U.S. Central Command area of responsibility this winter in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

The 2nd Brigade Combat Team will replace the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division in training, advising, and assisting the Iraqi Security Forces.
