Ive read about this man before and then just saw this petition and signed it. I am hoping many of you do too. This service member contracted some sort of infection while in the Coast Guard as a rescue swimmer and as a result, went into coma and had all four limbs amputated. His wife is his caregiver and she does not receive payments from the VA as they only pay those injured for some reason after 9-11-01. Please share this message and sign if you believe that the VA should be taking care of this veteran.

The private care for wounded veterans would be an astronomical expense if nursing care had to be found so one wonders why the VA would not jump at the opportunity to pay the veteran's spouse as primary care giver.

He even mentioned that in the petition SSgt Robert Marx, "For example, I am eligible for nursing home care which could cost nearly $400,000 per year, whereas average cost per veteran through VA’s Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers is under $40,000 annually. " It stupid thinking if you ask me to deny that to him
