The Salvation Army said they were told the department store ban had something to do with a change in Belk's "social consciousness." Very socially conscious to throw an organization like this off. They must not like the Christian history of the Salvation Army. They have been doing a lot of good for many people since the 1860's. Can't have any of that in front of the high and mighty Belk Stores. They probably support the United Way.

I am not a wealthy man, however, I give a little every time I hear the bell. I think they are a great organization and help lots of people who are less fortunate.

CW5 Jack Cardwell: I have something to say about this. The Salvation Army Bell Ringers: don't get paid very much; to my knowledge; and they Still ring their bells- despite inclement weather.
Most Sincerely, Margaret

True, they make very little 95% of what the Salvation Army takes in actually goes to the purpose for what it was raised. They do a lot of very good work and for all the right reasons.
