Thank you for Spreading the News Steven! Some people weren't sure about this group because I never heard about it because it was alternate music and not mainstream top 40. The band was able to mostly sell out 2 days of the Pasadena Rose Bowl made and made a movie about it on the BBC back in 1988.
This is for hardcore Depeche Mode fans but at least you can get a snapshot of historical perspective back in 1988.

Please don't take this the wrong way,and I certainly understand,
In the concert video you posted last night, the lead singer looked like he was very tired like us old men gets when run too hard for too long.
Both touring and trucking can become a real bitch after 30 years.

LTC (Join to see) - Now that is a hell of an improvement. I should have allowed for the quite possible fact that he just plain doesn't like the song Personal Jesus anymore.. I think I am right, it seems to show.. There are many reasons for this possibility
although one thought comes to mind for sure. He made an extremely popular song so many years ago yet it no longer expresses his feelings and life at this time. It is a bit of a dark song in its own way. It really doesn't reflect the groups style anymore.
Men change and grow. I would be appalled at myself if some of the things I found popular, amusing, or profound when I was a,young man still were still part of my expression of attitude today.
The idea that older musicians are truly trapped by huge successes which just no longer mean what they once did or or fact ever did.
I saw that happen to Stevie Nix, even ZZ Top who for the most part are a "formula" band,
perhaps they are simply an extremely talented bar band who simply make a living.
I saw them in concert many years ago and there was no passion to it.. I kinda thought they really hated what they were doing, a career turned job, turned boring, and just a turn off period.
