Sounds like a great idea to me. My only problem is that the article mentions there being only about 400,000 deportable aliens. We need to ramp that number up to include all of the people who are in the US illegally.

Yes we do! Maybe this is what the retired, retirees and just plain tired veterans should do if they called us back up to active duty.

The article pointed out that the 287g program officers located 400,000 deportable aliens. The 287g program is a training and certification program that basically results in the local officers as being deputized as US immigration officers with full authority. It is still in use, mostly in southern states. Many more were located by full time federal officers.

More dishonest media. Trump never proposed to activate the guard for immigration issues. The only "memo" that has been circulated so far in regards to this was authored by DHS Secretary Kelley.
