When I was in Germany, I was asked to buy a replacement Bronze Star for a French Colonel who was a liaison officer with our forces during the Korean War. He gave me a French Infantry Captain's hat in return.

Worked some during Vietnam and Desert Storm. Traded for Korean rations in Vietnam to get kimchi and German rations during Desert Storm for a different taste.
Got a pair of Aussie boots made out of kangaroo hide that were really soft.
