Maybe his past caught up with him:
"Because the Defendant has fled this jurisdiction both times he was released, failed to comply with any condition of bond or probation and has 5 felony convictions, including one he received while on probation from this Court’s sentence, this Court finds that the Defendant is not a suitable candidate for placement in the Community Corrections Program,” Judge Junkin said. “Therefore, the request is DENIED.”

Doesn’t sound like the state or the judge is the problem, CW5 Jack Cardwell. Funny how this quote didn’t get included in the article. Excellent follow up.

My question is, why the hell did he keep going back? This is the third time he was before this court, did not comply with bond or probation, and has 5 felony convictions. And lets put forth the obvious - Mary Jane is illegal in this state, just because you disagree with the state law, does not mean you can ignore it.

Unfortunately, once you establish a history it takes a lot to overcome it. I hope they release him to a treatment program

Lt Col Charlie Brown,PO1 Tony Holland there are Veterans Justice Outreach Specialists (VJO) that work with the local courts. Maybe someone will revisit his situation.

PO1 Tony Holland I wonder why he did not have a representative from the VAs court program for non violent offenders talk with the court system? It has been a while and I can't call the program name, but the representative discusses the issues as they relate to veteran disabilities and stress, ptsd, tbi, and other invisible issues.
