Just when you think that Democrats cannot be more imbecilic - they role out this mental Giant. So once again for those of you that were educated by the AFT/NEA and contrary to Perez's claim, the U.S. Constitution establishes the Electoral College in Article II, and the 12th Amendment to the same U.S. Constitution details the process by which electors will meet and vote for president and vice president.
Article II states.Of The CONSTITUTION states in part: "....Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector..."

The electoral college was fine until they did not get the results they wanted. This election proves why we need the E.C., otherwise Hillary wins by only carrying a handful of states on the west coast and east coast.
