DNI Clapper Statement on Conversation with President-elect Trump

The whole problem that I have is this all came from an unconfirmed sources as fact and put forth as such.......It is hearsay at this point and never should have gotten this far.

CNN knew what it was doing. They know that a portion of Americans are intellectually lazy and won't research counterpoints. Those that I personally know, ran with the "gilded sprinkles" memes and then said it was all verified by CNN. That was CNNs hope. Yellow journalism has been around since the turn of the 20th century, we just call it "fake news" now.

Here's the problem... CNN in their "report" stated they have not reported on the dossier released by buzzfeed because they had not corroborated the information. In that same report they made the claim, provided a link to the buzzfeed report, and alluded to its contents. How is this not reporting on it? The fact is, CNN screwed up. They got overzealous in their desperate attempt to push a story which could hurt Trump and they lost. They need to take a step back, reset their relationship with the President Elect, and get back to reporting corroborated and confirmed news, without bias or any sort of agenda (other than to report the news and make money).
