I'm sure we've all heard the story(ies) of soldiers in Vietnam who fell into water when surprised by an insurgent and then held their weapons above the surface and fired blindly. Then when forced to emerge for a breath, discovered they had killed the insurgent with their spray of automatic fire. Anyone verify this?

I understand that SEALs just use hair product as extra lube and protectant.

Break the seal on the bolt. Make sure the bolt isn't all the way sealed when you go in (ease the bolt forward with charging handle... bolt won't twist & lock... this is for M16 variants. Actually, i'd be more concerned with wet ammo jamming (locked in chamber) needing a pushrod to dislodge.
