My sister did not live a geographically stable life. After she passed, I became the executor of her will. The attorney I hired advised me to check every state she lived in for unclaimed money. End result, there was a little over $14,000 out there that I was able to recover for her estate. Then I checked for myself and came up with almost another $700, that I didn't know about.
