Thanks for mentioning and honoring Lawrence Darrow Brown AKA Dobie Gray on his birthday SGT John " Mac " McConnell. Drift Away was a memorable song in a time when so many great musical talents were writing and playing music, I am glad that Dobie Gray's song way played on the radio the year before I enlisted.

LTC Stephen F. Use to play this in one of my very first bands back in the mid 70's in my first band and when I play in a band out in Fort Ord, CA (Funk, Inc.)

I think some nice music should be an everyday thing here to get us off on the right foot for the day....Thank you John for getting this started. It is even better when the Artist had a Military background.
