While I am sure that is related to the cost of living, your job and general attitude about life, but I'm a lot happier and things are easier with a 100,000 plus income where I live and I'm certainly happier than when that income was tighter. Have done some investing even if it was just 401K all my life and I don't remember the last time I had just one financial institution. My father did encourage home ownership, but I'm in the building industry and I understand that it isn't always a great investment.
