Regardless of party it's Basic Leadership 101. If it's good you accept it and praise those who helped you do it. If it's bad YOU OWN IT, and accept the reasons why it happened and work towards ensuring that it doesn't happen again. You do not place the blame on anyone junior to you. Truman's plaque say's it all. In Trumps case, while there are three "equal" portions of government, he is the head of the United States so in the end, the good and the bad are all on his desk. This is your shutdown Mr. President. Own it.

I have never heard a "leader" try so hard to place blame on others to make himself rise in other people's perception. He can't lead, he can't follow, and he won't get out of the way.

Obama blamed the GOP for the shutdown in 2013. And Obama never took any responsibility for it. What changed?

So, we agree...Obama was a horrible leader, as well.
