Sad to see so much self destruction. Seem that those that push these type of drugs should be brought up on murder charges if they can trace an overdose to a dealer.

For as long as I can remember we have been fighting a war on drugs. Seems like there is absolutely nothing to show for all those years.

I agree. I am concerned that we punish more than rehabilitate. It would be cheaper to fix the addiction rather than house prisoners. I have heard of some good research that is using certain drugs that curb the recidivism of those incarcerated for drug offenses especially opioid addiction. While these drugs are expensive, it is much cheaper than adding to the prison population.

Yes, emphasis needs to be on what causes people to use drugs and solve that issue. Not locking up more and more people.
