So two thoughts:
1) Politicians don't vote on things that benefit the American people because of politics? Weird. Seems like we just lived that for months on the USMCA free trade agreement.
2) This is all fine, but it only pertains to patients on Medicare. The obvious second order effect is that there would be a corresponding increase in cost to everyone else, as the phamaceudical companies will get their money from somewhere. As a person from the group that includes everyone else, I have questions I want answers on before the Senate votes as well.

1SG (Join to see) - I didn't say millions have been taken away, I said Repubs and dumb Donald WANTS TO take away ACA and pre existing conditions which is the most important aspect it. The man just lied today and said he saved pre existing conditions though he current has a court case to rid of it LOL. You didn't answer my question, where is the replacement and what changes are the Repubs implementing to as they say make it better *** crickets ***

SSgt Ray Stone - First, if the Republicans wanted to "take insurance away from millions", surely they would have introduced a bill to do so or the President would have issued one of his prolific Executive Orders to implement. Guess what? There isn't. I don't think that there's a single republican out there that has said they want to repeal the pre-existing conditions provision. Frankly, in my opinion that is about the only aspect of that law that made any sense.
Second, I don't think either party has health care on their agenda, although both sides seem to talk about it a lot. One is single-minded on their quixotic impeachment quest, the other is just kind of hanging around until November. Frankly, they are all an embarrassment.
Third, I don't know what the GOP plan is to replace the ACA. Near as I can tell, they don't either. And like you, I think that is bullshit. But if it were up to me, I'd repeal the bulk of the law (which as you state, the courts may well do for us, but I doubt it) and let the markets determine how to provide a service just like they always have. For the poor, we had numerous programs before Obamacare, and some of those could be turned back on or replaced with something better, using the existing ACA infrastructure so you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
I would point out that Dem plan seems to be to also blow up Obamacare and replace it with single payer, costing conservatively around $3.5 Trillion a year. That just straight won't happen.
Fourth, as to the court case, the President isn't bringing that lawsuit, 20 states are.
The case is Texas vs United States and the link to it is below:
https://www.theusconstitution.org/litigation/texas-v-united-states/

I fully agree that the law mandating people buy health insurance is unconstitutional - although the Supreme Court disagreed with me. Now that that element of the law has been repealed by Congress, I think it is a bit of a stretch to repeal the whole thing on the grounds the individual mandate is inseverable. But I guess we'll all find out.
The right answer is to do whatever we are going to do by legislation.

SSgt Ray Stone - Why is it my responsibility to pay for someone else's healthcare. The first recourse of Americans has been and should be self-reliance, followed by charity. Taxes collected by the police powers of the state are NOT charity, and are supposed to be used for the GENERAL WELFARE, not individual welfare.

We should all have clean fresh water, why isn't the American Taxpayer paying for the repairs to my well?

...and as far as " Until the Rethugs implement a replacement instead of sending millions to their death out of hatred for Obama" VERY MELODRAMATIC, but if you have to exaggerate to make a point, perhaps you don't have much of a point.

Here's my replacement for The ACA, we take responsibility for ourselves. We extend charity when we can. And let market forces bring prices down.

I'm a lifelong citizen of the once great state of California.Where the Dems control 99 % of the state Government. They don't give a Damn about the quality of life of the working ppl, retirees and the small business here in our state. Why else would ppl be fleeing this once great state? It's not because of the Republican party or President Donald J. TRUMP It's because of the self serving power gungery progressives liberals who control the democrat party! This post should tell you all you need to know as to why we all need to keep our oath to protect and defend the CONSTITUTION from enemies foreign and domestic! Both parties suck and are full of scumbags but one party is over flowing with self serving scumbags and it's not the Republican party!

Just heard that CA is trying to buy their own pharma by negotiating prices. Paradigm shift if it works.

Great idea however Big RX does not need Ca to survive and if Ca tells them it is their prices or no business, Big RX will just say good-bye to Ca.

MAJ Byron Oyler - Likely, but they might find some offshore source that will realize the volume aspect and be willing to deal. FDA and "establishment" overall won't like it. Expect Federal resistance.
